STATUS: Review complete RA registered aircraft was involved in an engine failure occurrence near Temora. It has been reported to RAAus by the PIC that aircraft was force landed on a paddock near Tamora due engine failure in-flight. It was further reported that the aircraft sustained substantial damage with nil injuries reported. The cause of the engine failure could not be found.

STATUS: Review complete RA registered aircraft was involved in a technical occurrence at Jandakot Aerodrome on 23/3/2026. It has been reported to RAAus that the PIC noticed abnormal engine indication immediately after take-off and intended to return to the Aerodrome for ground checks. The aircraft landed safely with no further events. The root cause could not be found.

STATUS: Review complete RA registered aircraft was involved in a technical occurrence at Orange Aerodrome on 20/3/2026. It has been reported to RAAus that the PIC noticed abnormal engine indication during flight and intended to return to the Aerodrome for ground checks. The aircraft landed safely with no further events. The root cause was identified as a right magneto failure.

OCCURRENCE SUBMITTED TO DETAILS RAAUS: RA registered aircraft was involved in an operational non-compliance occurrence during taxiing at Sunshine Coast Aerodrome. It has been reported to RAAus by the PIC that aircraft was taxied to an already occupied taxiway during the dual training flight. No further events were reported due to the occurrence.

STATUS: Review complete RA registered aircraft was involved in a RWY safety occurrence at Mt Isa Aerodrome. It was reported to RAAus by the PIC that the aircraft had landed on a RWY that was used by another aircraft that was backtracking for take-off. The PIC further noted that the weather conditions were deteriorating during approach and the degrading visibility conditions. NIL injuries or damages were reported due to the occurrence. Root cause: In flight conditions deteriorated and the PIC felt that landing on an occupied runway was their only options. There was also a contributing factor of a sticky PTT which has been rectified.

OCCURRENCE SUBMITTED TO DETAILS RAAUS: RA registered aircraft was involved in a hard landing occurrence at The Oaks Airfield on 8/3/2026. It has been reported to RAAus that the training pilot had initially lowered power as aircraft was low on final, and reduced power over the threshold, due to which the aircraft dropped height and bounced on the RWY. It was further noted that the aircraft was landed safely by the instructor on board. Minor damages were reported due to the occurrence, and NIL injuries.

STATUS: Review complete RA registered aircraft was involved in a RAY excursion occurrence due to technical system failure at Maitland Airfield in SA on 23/2/2026. It has been reported to RAAus that during private circuit flights at the airfield, the PIC had encountered breaking issues during one of the landing operations, due to which the aircraft overshot the RWY into the immediate soft land with grass. It was further noted by the PIC that the aircraft came to a full safe stop after having turned back to the RWY surface. Minor damages were reported to the aircraft due to this occurrence. The root cause was identified as a damaged brake line.

STATUS: Review complete RA registered aircraft was involved in a loss of control occurrence at Pinnacles Airpark (YPNC) at Queensland on 22/2/2026. It has been reported to RAAus that the PIC lost directional control while on take-off roll and the aircraft skewed to the left and rolled into the grass. It was further noted by the PIC that he had observed the rudder right pedal had become unserviceable and rendered poor rudder control leading to the occurrence. It was reported that the aircraft sustained minor damages due to the occurrence and NIL injuries were reported. The root cause was identified as a defective rudder pedal.
