OCCURRENCE SUBMITTED TO DETAILS RAAUS: RA registered aircraft was involved in an airspace-related occurrence at Canberra Aerodrome. It was reported that the aircraft had commenced a left turn over the arrival threshold while it was instructed to go-around due to occupied RWY.

OCCURRENCE SUBMITTED TO DETAILS RAAUS: RA registered aircraft was involved in a technical occurrence at Kempsey Aerodrome. It was reported to RAAus that the aircraft experienced loss of thrust soon after take-off, subsequently the engine stopped functioning at 750ft when the aircraft was in downwind leg. It was further reported that the aircraft was landed safely on RWY 04 with no further events.

OCCURRENCE SUBMITTED TO DETAILS RAAUS: RA registered aircraft was involved in an airspace infringement occurrence at Gawler Aerodrome. It was reported that the aircraft had entered both the nearby controlled airspace and the restricted airspace, which was later noticed by the PIC and action initiated to exit the airspaces. No further events were reported due to this occurrence.

OCCURRENCE SUBMITTED TO DETAILS RAAUS: RA registered aircraft was involved in an occurrence at Cunnamulla Aerodrome on 2/9/2025. It was reported to RAAus that the aircraft veered to the left sharply on landing resulting in a ground loop. It was further reported that the aircraft sustained minor damages due to the occurrence, and NIL injuries were reported due to the occurrence.

OCCURRENCE SUBMITTED TO DETAILS RAAUS: RA registered aircraft was involved in an Incorrect Transponder indication occurrence at Mareeba Aerodrome. It was reported that incorrect aircraft altitude was transmitted by the Mode C Transponder onboard the aircraft, which was communicated through another aircraft flying in the region. It was further reported that the PIC of the aircraft contacted AsA upon landing at Atherton Aerodrome, and has removed the transponder from the aircraft after being informed of the issue.

OCCURRENCE SUBMITTED TO DETAILS RAAUS: RA registered aircraft was involved in a ground occurrence at LaTrobe Valley Aerodrome on 19th August 2025. It was reported that the Pilot operating the aircraft was undertaking an engine ground run-up, and inadvertently knocked the throttle while accessing a tool box on ground from the aircraft. It was further added that a nearby Hangar wall and another aircraft (parked in the hangar) were damaged due to the occurrence.

OCCURRENCE SUBMITTED TO DETAILS RAAUS: RA registered aircraft was involved in a wildlife strike occurrence at South Grafton Airstrip, NSW. It was reported that kangaroos impacted the aircraft undercarriage while on take-off roll. Subsequently, the take-off was continued and after a brief review in flight, the Pilot landed the aircraft safely at South Grafton Airstrip without any further events. A minor damage to starboard side gear leg of the aircraft was reported due to the occurrence. RAAus continues to monitor bird strike and wildlife reports at aerodromes to ensure correct ERSA/NOTAM information is in place and to enable reporting to the aerodrome proprietor.

OCCURRENCE SUBMITTED TO DETAILS RAAUS: RA registered aircraft was involved in a technical occurrence at Bendigo Aerodrome. It was reported that the crew observed a squealing noise during circuit, which was later determined due to unsettled Flywheel bolts during the flight. It was further noted that the PIC had switched-off the engine and informed engine failure on CTAF, and subsequently landed safely without further events.

OCCURRENCE SUBMITTED TO DETAILS RAAUS: RA registered aircraft was involved in an operational occurrence at Eumungerie while landing on a farm strip. It was reported to RAAus that the aircraft had damages to propellers, nose wheel and airframe due to the occurrence. NIL injuries were reported. INVESTIGATION - On questioning the pilot involved, it was deduced that contributing factors for this incident was lack of familiarity with the aircraft as had spent a lot of time in taildraggers, gusty wind and a rough down-sloping short strip which may have resulted in damage to the nosewheel on touchdown which potentially interfered with the aircraft steering ability.

OCCURRENCE SUBMITTED TO DETAILS RAAUS: RA registered Jabiru aircraft was involved in a forced landing occurrence in a paddock 4NM east of Tooradin aerodrome on 20th June 2025. It was reported that the flight was undertaken for a BFR check for the owner of the aircraft. The aircraft upon landing on the paddock ran into a wire fence and small drain. It was reported that the nose and the main landing gears were damaged, however, nil injuries were reported due to this occurrence.
